Who am I...
Originally training as an actor, at Middesex University and The Drama Studio, I have worked extensively in theatre and television, including ‘Doctor Who’, a cameo as Marge Simpson in the ‘Simpsons Cinema Promo’ and several years as a presenter on the BBC’s under fives programme ‘Playdays’.
I have been producing work for and with young people for all of my professional life.
I have worked for many leading Children’s Theatre companies including Norwich Puppet Theatre, The Unicorn Theatre and Polka Theatre for Children, as well as writing and performing my own storytelling shows in venues all over the country.
I have also worked as a puppeteer both on stage and television.
I specialise in using drama in education and have worked with many companies including Shakespeare’s Globe, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, The Little Angel Puppet Theatre and Savvy Theatre Company.
For the past 15 years I have been co director of a highly successful drama education company:
‘Teach-it-Through-Drama’, writing and performing shows and workshops to support the National Curriculum in Primary schools.
As a storyteller I have worked with many Children’s publishing companies, designing and delivering book events at literary festivals and venues and all over the UK.
